I heard a rumour that WW are to announce 4 new routes next week including a new service from another uk airport (other than the current 4 'hubs'). Any ideas what they could be?

Most of the rumours that are flying about seem to surround BOH.

If this is the case FR will be there biggest competition from BOH with 21 routes. They would also face competition from BE ex SOU.

It would be very interesting to see them launch a further four routes to Bournemouth, so soon after announcing Jersey.

Personally, I'd have thought they'd have waited to see how Jersey performs first before announcing any more routes to the airport. I think they have the potential to do well, despite Ryanair having a base at the airport.

Announcement week (or day  )
I think the new airport will be Liverpool or Bristol.

It would be suicide for WW to start routes from these airports. Purely down to the competition

Both LPL and BRS are home to large FR and EZY bases. Which WW would find it very hard to compete against

I'd say it'll be Bournemouth as well.

NWI isn't big enough for WW, even BE couldn't make it work. I would say BOH is more likely. Maybe adding more NQY flights this summer too? W routes to scotland might be a good idea.

I've noticed in trying to book flights that FR have pulled the BOH-EDI route from March so maybe it will be BOH on some domestic routes.
