Does anybody know if these aircraft are still flying? It used to come to ORD everyday during the middle of the night last year but I haven't seen them recently. If they are still flying, what is their future after the NW/DL merger?

Thanks. So they are gone . Looks like I might've been able to catch one back in December but I never checked flightaware on those days. Oh well, at least I got in once back in July  .

If you'd like to see any, they are all parked at Pinal Airpark in Marana, AZ (MZJ), with the exception of N639US (ship 6739) which is at VCV.

I will be in Tucson next month, is Pinal Airpark open to the public? I'd love to have a look around...

Don't think so but its right off I-10 and you can see the aircraft from the interstate. You can drive up fairly close. If your going to be in Tuscon don't miss Pima Air and Space

It's not open to the public, but you can charter a plane to fly you over the park to get pictures. And yes, as MSPSpotter says, you can drive fairly up close.

Pima Air and Space is a DEFINITE no-miss.

And I think AMARC will still do bus-tours through the boneyard.

Get someone with a 172 and fly over to Marana and do some t/g's, full stops and shoot pix while taxiing. Unless you know someone there, thats about as good as your gonna get. Also, on Kolb road...go to National aircraft across from Davis Monthan AFB. You can drive in and buy cool stuff...bring $$$...He'll box up stuff for you and ship it home fedex ground cheap...Ask for Don Howell...gerard

Great info, thanks guys.

I'll be sure to check out the Pima Air and Space museum while I'm there but I couldn't find much info about AMARC. Where it it located? Is it near the the Pima museum?

Thanks again!

I believe you can get the tour for AMARC from Pima Air & Space but it's been a few years since I've been there so I don't know for sure. AMARC is just north of Pima Air & Space on Davis-Monathan AFB.

Thanks,
Cory
