Final Report For LH 044 Incident Now Available

The German Aviation Agency has now issued the final report on the LH X-wind incident in 2008 at HAM (see link to a newspaper article and the report below in German only though)

The most interesting aspect is that the report contains 12 safety recommendations. Moreover, the fact that ground law in the A320 series restricts rudder movemets is seen as a causal factor in the incident.

Were both crew returned to flight status; I had heard that the captain was (although other reports said he'd been fired), but the FO had been prevented from return to flight status by the regulatory authority.
