I have always heard that AirTran does not have ticketing or baggage agreements with other airlines. Is that true? In other words, if AirTran cancels a flight, can they put you on another carrier? Does AirTran have interline agreements with the other major carriers? I know that if Delta cancels a flight, they can put you on United for instance, under Rule 240. What if AirTran cancels a flight?

FL does not interline with other carriers. I'm not sure what that means in a rebooking situation but it definitely doesn't help.

Actually they do or at least did have an agreement with Delta.

Rule 240 and interlining are two different things. FL could transfer pax to another carrier whether they interline or not.

FL does have the ability to rebook pax ofn UA or US. The only drawback is that it takes forever because the agent has to call the carrier to make a reservation and then manually write out a FIM for each passenger, since FL is a ticketless cariier.
