LH's A380 To Get 'NiceView' IFE

No sure if this has been discussed earlier. flugrevue.de reports that Lufthansa's A380 are to get the NiceView infotainment system. The system offers a virtual view out of the cockpit or a cagin window to every pax, regardless of visibility in HD quality.

I thought the same thing. I wonder if they will combine that with the camera views that you can get one some planes already...

I think it is an excellent idea. Very nice.

Now I want to fly on LH's A380 as well after "testing" the ones SQ has.

This is a great improvement over the flight progress maps currently being offered on other carriers' IFE products.

Great stuff! After having been behind for so long n terms of PTV/AVOD, LH seems to take the lead on this one. Can't wait to get on those birds!

This is now an option on the Global Express XRS too, very nice system and light years ahead of what used to be offered on this aircraft. (Don't know what the other system is/was but its not very good)

I for one thought the airberlin pictures looked anything but realistic, most Laptops do much better. I'd rather enjoy the "real" cameras. Although the cloud thing is a good reason for virtual landscape, maybe it should be switchable.

Well that is something that X3 has already on their planes. And I found it rather boring. If there are clouds well okay then I can't see the ground but do I want to have it replaced by a MS FS view. Not really. I'd rather have then nice map and the outside cameras.
