Air France is in the process of changing colour scheme on its mainline fleet.

The change is subtle (and some argue "why spend money is such a minor change at all?"), but it's starting to grow on me.

Now what I am a bit puzzled about are the colouschemes on the regional fleet. There has been a subtle change for instance on the spelling of "Britair", where the font resembles the new writing of "AIRFRANCE" on the mainline much more. But then "AIR FRANCE" is still in the old style, and the tail is still in the old style

Similar for "Regional", where "Regional" has a new look, but Air France is still the old style:

. But then, there are already some planes that have a new-looked "Regional" and a new-looked "AIRFRANCE" livery:

Cityjet is a completely different animal:

Some are old Air France titles with old Cityjet titles (the "Irish"-style), some others old AF titles with re-looked Cityjet font:

and yet others aren't branded AF at all anymore but have a livery that is "coherent" with the new AF livery:

So what is the deal? Which planes will get which livery? Will there be some of the existing Britair and Regional planes that will get an intermeidate livery (new DB/YS, old AF), only new deliveries will get the new AF scheme? Will some Cityjets stay in the old mixed Cityjet/AF scheme?

There are already at least 2 Brit Air CRJ100s (F-GRJR/-T) wearing the new livery, as well as 1 CRJ700 (F-GRZA) and the newly-delivered CRJ900.

The EMB-170 pictured in the new livery was delivered very recently; their other aircraft haven't been repainted yet.

As for Cityjet, I think it's safe to assume that all their aircraft will get the "new" new scheme as worn by some F50s and at least one RJ85 (EI-RJT):

There really aren't that many AF mainline aircraft in the new livery so far, either. My guess is that the fleet is being repainted gradually as aircraft go in for maintenance.

Quite a few aircraft are now already wearing the new colorscheme, at least one of each type :

So what is the deal?

The entire Air France / Brit'Air / Regional fleet will be repainted with the "new" colors.

CityJet entire fleet will ultimately wear this more than simple "Air France like" logo you posted.
Don't ask me why they made that choice ...

The "Cityjet" Livery aircraft are for use on the London City routes which are branded as "Cityjet". Air France is no longer used as a brand into LCY

The AF livery ones are meant to operate on the CDG network, although obviously some switching does occur.
