After plummeting 10% last year, spending on corporate air travel is rebounding. American Express Business Travel predicts a 1% jump this year, the first rise in three years. Local travel consultants and corporate travel managers are more bullish, forecasting increases of 5%.

Let's see... revenue has plummeted close to 50% for premium traffic over three years and a 1% return is a 'jump?' Even a 5% revenue increase isn't a jump. It is a life preserver thrown to a Titanic survivor still stuck in very cold water.

Oh, it is good to see we're coming off the revenue bottom. But 1% will not even match inflation. 5% would be ok if yeilds were not as low as they are. A recovery needs revenue growth of 8% or more per year. I think we'll see that by 2012, but not in 2010. The question is, how will 2011 look?
