Major AA Cuts To MIA This Summer Or Update?

I've been looking at flights into MIA in July and August this year and I've been getting some really crazy routings last night and today. When I went to look at flights from ORD and DFW into MIA AA.com is showing ORD-MIA at 4 flights/day and DFW-MIA at 2 flights/day - obviously this is a major draw down in capacity and would be very disappointing.

So my question: Is AA cutting capacity to MIA this summer or are they in the process of updating their schedule on AA.com this weekend and they just haven't finished?

I'm sure AA is still loading its schedules!
ORD-MIA should be 9 times daily and DFW-MIA should get at least 9 or 10 rotations.

There are no cuts to these routes. MIA-DFW is 10x daily and MIA-ORD is 9x daily. That is not changing. AA will offer more daily seats and more daily flights from MIA this summer than any other period before in the hub's history, and it will exceed 300 daily flights for the first time ever.

Does this include AE?

As of now it appears that the max average daily departures for AA at MIA will be 286 this summer.

The question that this brings to mind when I hear AA growth at MIA is where are they cutting flights and service to support this? I'm asking b/c the 737-800's comming onto the property are I think 1/1 replacments of the older 80's for a net zero aircraft growth. Is this the continued results of RDU and STL flying getting taken apart mostly or bits and pieces from the entire system?

They have been tinkering a lot with the schedules, but I believe some days in July were at 302, but I haven't checked lately.

No, they are not. The 738s are coming in at a rate of about 2 new 738s for every MD80 parked, and even then MD80 parking has slowed down quite a bit. In the fall AA actually put two previously parked MD80s back into service.

AA is also adding 22 CR7s to its fleet and some of those are being used to replace certain mainline flights at ORD, which will allow mainline capacity to be shifted elsewhere in the system.

AA is not shrinking MIA, it is growing MIA.

That is true, but we have not seen any of that reflected in the schedules. The first CR7 will be flying by early July, but the schedule we see right now does not account for any of them.

AA is adding a 3rd MIA-EZE this next summer (4 times per week), also another MIA-GYE flight...AA is not cutting MIA. MIA is one of the few hubs where AA is growing. AE is also adding flights (RJs) in MIA.

One big disappointment is going to be AA299 MIA-LAX (the am three class 777)

From 7/2-8/23 that will downgrade to a 757

No equipment past 7/1 is finalized yet, but this would not surprise me during this period as DFW-CDG goes 777 and the extra MIA-EZE operates during exactly these dates.
