Daharan should be Dhahran, but it was renamed as Dammam.

No airlines fly between Oz and Dammam.

But you can fly Emirates via Dubai or Qantas to Singapore/Bangkok/Manila then fly Saudi Arabian to Dammam. Sri Lankan via Colombo would be another choice.

Forgot to add that Garuda Indonesia also flies to Dammam, but their Oz flight are originated from Denpasar. I guess you have to make 2-stops if you fly Garuda.

Gulf Air can take you from Sydney to Bahrain which is about 30 miles away from Dhaharan. I belief that there is one stop.

Dhahran has not been renamed Dammam, just that all the serving airlines have been moved to the newly constructed airport in the neighbouring city (literally twin city) of Dammam Smile

Yeah, I forgot Gulf Air. But Gulf Air will have to make 2-stops to Bahrain from Sydney. SYD-MEL-KUL-BAH.

And I didn't know that Dhahran got a new airport, Airmale.
