I was having a look on the Nassau Airport website and was surprised to see that an image from Flight Simulator is being used as the main picture in the top of the pages. I think this looks very unprofessional and have sent them a message about it. See http://www.nassau-airport.com/index.cfm

I remember reading an article about Delta Air Lines once where an FS image was used of a Delta Boeing 747-400.

Any more examples?

Oh wow!!! I never even saw that before! Unprofessional, yes. However, I can't help but laugh. As realistic as the eye-candy in Flight Simulator has gotten in recent times, you'd think they would at least include an image of a Bahamasair aircraft in FS. Ah well. I suppose random virtual airline will have to suffice   . Tooo funny.

That is not an airport web site.

It is a commercial company trying to make money off the airport by providing information and advertising. The site is a GoDaddy.com setup web site.

Cool, instead of using simulated airplanes, it shows simulated people!

Sounds like the perfect destination for Family Airlines.

Thanks for the correction. The site I mentioned came up as number 1 in Google, so I thought it was the official one. Looks like the official site's webmaster needs to do something to get higher in the rankings

Google still has the "Pay for Placement" policy where the first three or first five results of searches are in that position because they paid Google to be at the top of searches.

Some pay thorough their Google ads revenue, others pay actual cash to Google.

No matter how highly the official web site is in the rankings, it will not be in the first three or five of Google searches if someone pays to have their site there and the official site does not.

That's because you're looking at an artist's impression of the new terminal currently under construction. ETA for opening 2013, IIRC.

I just visited the official site. Can't be that good because the "Live" arrival-departures info shows a Skyservice flight being on-time......... Not likely given the recent developments with Skyservice!!! Come to think of it, ALL the flights were shown as on-time.

They probably subscribe to a service like FlightAware - like most airports do. Only a few airports use information from airport sources for the arrival data.

These scheduled flights are in the system and it will take a couple weeks for them to be flushed out.

That's because this picture is an artists' version of the future terminal; hard to photograph what is not there.

The actual website wasn't much better.. I got a huge "Error 404 - Not Found" when I clicked.

That's because the OP included the link incorrectly. http://www.nas.bs is correct.
