Curious about the status of SGU's replacement airport and SkyWest/UA Express' decsion to cancel LAX/SGU flights, I headed out in search of information about the ongoing construction of SGU's replacement airport.

Turns out they just posted a photographic update on the website, and KSGX is beginning to take shape. The major exterior terminal work is complete, runways are levelled and have the mandated "do-not-land X's", etc.

Skywest dropped LAX-SGU as the loads were nothing more then really a non-rev express.

Even with a new airport, unless OO wants to cover the routes loss, I doubt it will be back.
