Can anyone explain to me what an aspire flight is. I read an article about Air New Zealand and said they used their 772ER's on Aspire flights SFO to conserve fuel. All information is appreciated.

The power of google to the rescue.  http://www.aspire-green.com/about/default.asp

In a nutshell its a co-ordination attempt between certain airlines and airspace administration agencies to allow more direct routings (amongst other things) for airliners in an attempt to reduce fuel burn and associated CO2 emissions on transpac flights.
