The USDOT has stated that Kirksville MO (IRK) will lose their EAS eligibility if the awarded carrier cannot stay below the $200/passenger subsidy.

Are there any other EAS markets that may be shopping for a change in 2010?

with the massive deficits there ought to be a real and honest examination of the EAS program. Yes, there are a few places that make sense..but many (VIS for one) that do not when they are close (less than 90 min. drive) to airports with non subsidized service.
