Greetings from Europe!
As a gread motorsport fan I remember the old days (some years ago) as the Indy Car (PPG World Cup Series or FEDEX CART series) used to have their race on the Burke Lakefront Airport.
Can someone here tell me more about the history of this airport, which airlines fly from and to it(if any), how it looks about its future and so on.
Also a little more info on the IndyCar/CART races there would be appreciated.

I know that they still race there..and I enjoy these races. Speaking about CART, Burke is one of my favourite circuits along with Road America, Laguna Seca and Michigan.
Drooling to see this year's race. But, if you have more infos about the airport itself, please post.

Cleveland is one of my favorite CART races to watch! I remember a few years ago when it was raining hard, cars were all over the place. The rain stopped (briefly) and the pit crews had to decide between rain tires and slicks. Turn one of lap one is always exciting! The race this year is 01JUL.
There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info (online) regarding the airport, beyond that a few commuter airlines fly there. Looks like it is more suited for biz jets.

No airlines operate from BKL, only Chartered flights on bizjets. Teams playing any Cleveland team also fly to BKL, I saw a Toronto Blue Jays 727 there before. They can accomodate 757's and A310's, they had some at the GREAT airshow they host every Labor Day.
