Is indeed a KLM 744. Whereever it's going, they're loading food onto the aircraft.

Should be PH-BFL. KL0602 doesn't show as cancelled. KLM has been leading the way with removing flight restrictions by conducting tests on their own aircraft out of AMS through some of the clouds.

According to the KLM site, the airline is operating 10 flight departures from the US to AMS on 19 April.

Indeed. KL #602 left LAX about 90 minutes late. Link: http://www.flightstats.com/go/Flight...umber=602&departureDate=2010-04-19

Not related to KL, but related to the European flight restrictions - TN is operating a repatriation flight LAX - TLS. TN408 is currently enroute.

LH departed close to ontime this afternoon to FRA. As well their LAX-MUC, LX's LAX-ZRH are scheduled to leave tonight as well per http://www.flightstats.com .

These long range flights run indeed one risk - the risk they have to divert to another airport in Europe, so it might be the KLM flight actually ends in Zurich, and Passengers have to take the ICE to Amsterdam. But that is a risk we have to live with now for quite some time I'm afraid.
