Alaska Airlines (lsd) 707s Early-1970s?

When Alaska Airlines operated seasonal (summer) charter flights to Russia from 1970 to '72, each year from about April through October they leased... a 707-321 in 1970 and 1972, and a 707-138B in 1971. Since the only such 707 that seems to 'show up' in photos online or in print is N724PA which was, for the 1972 season, painted in the then-new 'stoic Eskimo' scheme...

...how were the 707-321 (N727PA, cn 17605) and 707-138B (N793SA, cn 17700) that were leased in 1970 and 1971, respectively, painted? A link to a photo of either (or both) of these two while on lease to Alaska would be especially 'awesome.'

All I could find of N727PA in Alaska colours was this eBay item ( a postcard ) ebay.co.uk/Pages/ViewItemPic.aspx?em...D=234x276&aid=150409899307&emvcc=0 . Hope it helps.

That is 'awesome' ...thank you for the link by which I was able to find the postcard! ...interesting hybrid scheme that would be typical for a short-term lease of ~6 months.

Glad to be able to help. And here is a photo of N793SA, still in Pacific Western colours http://www.adastron.com/707/gallery/cf-pww-2.htm .
A brief history of her and her QF siblings could be seen here
