Funny that in thread about the new LAX routes, I threw out that I believed TWF would be a decent G4 location. I guess they thought so, too lol. Good news for Magic Valley.

...without the combined market like the southeast Idaho area has with G4's service at IDA. And I highly doubt folks from BOI will make the drive to TWF just for a 2x weekly flight to LAS (and yes, I'm calling it that it'll be LAS) when they have twice daily service to LAS on WN.
Come to think of it, is there anything at all that makes G4 service at TWF more appealing than just driving to BOI and flying WN? Heck, and if they're just in it for the gambling, every southern Idahoan knows they can just take the ~50mi drive from Twin Falls to Jackpot.

I'm not sure they would go with LAS for that very reason. I think it would be more worth their while to add service to Phoenix/Mesa since they would only compete against AWE from BOI-PHX. Their focus city at IWA has been booming lately, and I think it would be a more viable route. I think that competing directly against WN is a lot riskier than competing against AWE.
I'm not trying to say you're wrong, Thule, this is just my take on the situation. I'm sure G4 will weigh their options carefully and use better information than we have to add the routes to the best focus city (or perhaps, focus cities).

Well, saving the hour 45 drive time, minimum $8.25/day to park, probably cheaper fares (seeing as how G4 IDA-LAS is usually cheaper than WN BOI-LAS-not that that is a competeing route, just comparing), and assume better vacation deals,too.
But I am looking for LAX-TWF, therefore in the winter G4 can market SoCal skiers up to Sun Valley area etc. Get the 'budget-concious' skiers lol.
The last time TWF had regularly scheduled ( IIRC) mainline size flights was when Morris Air operated a daily SLC-TWF-SLC trip Dec '92 thru Mar '93 for that ski season.
I remember one Saturday since SUN was clouded over, TWF was busy and had a SUN bound HP 733, CO 733, US 733, QX DH8, and OO EM2 all at once. Nice to see the action there!
I think with the many ranchers, larger sized families, and other factors, TWF could do well. I hope.

Good idea, but I think 120 too much plane. Plus, why add extra cost of F/As for flights an hour long and less? The 2x BOI-IDA and 1x BOI-LWS seem sparse to me. I liked when there were 12x day BOI-LWS flights in early 90s!
I think BE1900s aee good enough. 3x day BOI-IDA,PIH,LWS,TWF less or tag ons on the weekends.
But since BOI-TWF is 40 +/- flight, ans airport on South side of town, and only 130 miles at 75 mph speed limit, TWF-BOI might be a waste.
It's really too bad that PIH is becoming the "lost city" when it comes to aviation and the airlines. It's hard for PIH to get anything with IDA less than 50 miles away has so much contract work with the companies at the INEL and the INEL itsself.
