Here's a link to the local news source.

Not really any more info, just local.

I wonder if this was a stupid prank? I guess we'll see when they search the aircraft.

Update from the FOX affiliate in Greensboro

FBI is interviewing pax and searching the aircraft. On a lighter note Continental is serving lunch to the pax, I thought Continental stopped Meals At Mealtime LOL

And, better yet, this is an ExpressJet flight...

CNN was like it's a regional owned and operated by Continental....there was no mention of Expressjet...

They landed 23R and rolled all the way to the end. Furthest away from the terminal or any hangars.

In an article on WRAL.com they said "Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Arlene Salac says the commuter jet, which seats 50, was operated by Jet Link."

Gotta love the media's attention to detail and listening skills, I doubt an FAA spokesperson said the operating airline is called Jet Link. Oye.

/end airline agent rant, have a good night!

So which is it? Or is ExpressJet's callsign "Jet Link"?

Yes, XE's call sign is "Jet Link".
