9E is obviously a regional carrier for Delta Connection, but how did this aircraft make it out of the paint shop without it's "Connection" titles?

One could always raise the "mainline" question, but I doubt that is the case

When on the photo, click the N# and you'll see two more recent shots both with the "Connection" titles... that said, no clue why it didn't have it in this photo.

Yeah, I saw those.

It does look good as a mini-maddog I must say, perhaps the painter agreed that painting the "Connection" over the door looks bizarre

Could just be that the paint shop didn't have the proper stencil to do it. I don't think the "Connection" is a requirement, only the information of who is actually operating the aircraft that is by the front doors ("Operated by ___") if different than the main paint job.

I dont have the answer as to why it didnt at first.....This aircraft was delivered new in this delta livery and the connection had to be added later..... This was the 1st 900 for 9e and i would guess it was just an oversight by either bomabadier or whomever sent the required paint scheme to them.

Does look odd, but since it reads left to right, that's the only place for it.

I think that the "Connection" was only ommitted from the right side when it was first delivered, but was always on the left side.

I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day.

If you look at another picture of the same a/c you'll see that the connection has since been added.
