Does anyone have any idea approximately how many aircrafts are in stored position all around the Former Soviet Union?

At least
~ 20 (An-22)
~ 20 (An-30)
~ 10 (An-124)
~ 4 (An-140)

~ 3 (Tu-114)
~ 100 (Tu-134)
~ 7 (Tu-144)
~ 300 (Tu-154)
~ 15 (Tu-204)

~ 40 (Il-86)
~ 4 or 5 (Il-96)
~ not sure (max a few) (Il-114)

So that totals at least 520, but which excludes the data from Yaks, the military and some more, so that may well approach at least 1000.

Thousands.

Say that each airport has an average of 10 stored aircraft, quite a conservative estimate for almost all that I've been to, and then think how many airfields there are in total around the former Soviet Union. You can count well over 100 at Kiev's airports, same for Moscow, and a large number at St Petersburg too.

Of course if you were really bored, Google Earth is your friend.
