I will be flying on AA 33 and Qantas Flt 8 in one week. I would assume there's one or two movies on the JFK-LAX leg and maybe a decent meal right?

But on the 14 hour leg from LAX-SYD, could someone please paint of portrait of what these hours will be like?

I mean, I guess there'd be 2-3 movies, but is there a "scheduled" time where the cabin is dark and everyone is to sleep, without any movies? I guess I'm asking if they have some sort of nap time. Just curious. The last long trip I took was JFK to Honululu 13 years ago and I don't recall what it was like.
