Air India To Send 747 To LHR Just For Today 18 May

I just read today morning in the newspaper

"Due to the flight cancellations occurring because of ash cloud,Air India is sending a Boeing 747 to LHR today.
It has more seating capacity due to which more stranded pax can be flown."
The article did not report whether its from DEL or BOM.

A very good chance for LHR spotters today!
AI stopped sending 747's to EU routes in October 2009 and retired them out of service. Soon, they put them into ME routes like RUH and JED.  


Keep flying, because the sky is no limit!
