I have a one hour lay over in Chicago during my vacation travel.
Does anyone know of any points within the AA terminal(i am travelling
by AA) from which I could get some good shots of aircraft - especially
the wide bodies? - Thanks.

I've flown on 9V-SPK.

You know you’ve landed with the wheels up when it takes full power to taxi.

When I flew AA to chicago from SNA I saw alot of wide bodies just taxing around the place. I saw a MD-11 of AA that I had not seen before. Also there is the best sandwich place in that terminal it cost $5 but they are really good. Also listen to the PA as there was this one guy getting worked on the PA he was being told to call
Amanda hugnkis (A man to hug and Kiss) Also jack mihof ( Jack me off) and so many funnies. I was tempted to miss my flight just to listen to him it was so funny!!!

I'm going to O"Hare today to fly home!

O' Hare is a great place to visit, but it's poor for spotting form the terminal. It's just huge. The radiating shape of the terminals obscures most of the views. Also, depending on the winds, the aricraft may be landing nearly a mile from the terminal. I've spent many an hour at O'Hare, and the best place to view aircraft is from the Delta gates (the end of concourse L) or the gates at the end of concourse K. These provide good views to the southern runways, and give nice views (especially the L gates) of aircraft taxiing between the northern runways and the terminal. On American, you'll probably fly into K or H, which are connected into a "Y" shape.
