There are about 12-15 DC-9-30's still in service currently.
I don't know the exact fleet #'s of all the -30's in service but I do know the following are:
7 DC-9-40's in service
34 DC-9-50's in service

The last DC-9-30 flight is going to be on Monday September 6, 2010. The last flights that evening are EWR-DTW, ORD-DTW, MSN-DTW
The last DC-9-40 flight is going to be on September 30, 2010. Not sure of the last routes since the schedule isn't finalized yet for Sept.
Starting in July, the DC-9-30's are going to be limited to DTW flying.
MSP-ORD sees a mix of equipment including CR9, E75, DC-9, an MD-90, and A320's
In June there is one DC-9-30 on MSP-ORD, the rest are DC-9-50's. ORD-MSP is only DC-9-50's. In July, there are all DC-9-50 plus of course the other aircraft types.
all of them were originally delivered to, and operated by, Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) although some of these aircraft were leased to, and operated by, Swissair and Thai International for various periods of time.
