It sounds like this is limited to the CF6-50 series which is fairly limited on pax aircraft the U.S. - mostly on cargo aircraft such as the A300B2, DC-10,and 747-200/300. I wonder why these four particular failures have prompted action though, especially since they are outside of the U.S. I would have thought that most of the mandatory inspections surrounding uncontained failures would have been mandated after UA232 and would have been in place for a long time now.
