Effective June 05, 2010, Canadian North will be selling codeshare flights on aircraft operated by Air Canada for travel commencing June 10th, 2010.
What this means is that customers will be able to book a Canadian North flight number (designated by “5T”) on Air Canada connecting flights from Edmonton and Ottawa, allowing their booking and ticketing to be completed in one transaction, on one ticket. The connecting cities include: Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax and St. John’s.

In an ever changing industry, this is a good move by 5T to adapt. Competition is fierce on some of their bread and butter routes,YEG-YZF especially. Wouldn't be surprised to see QK pull out of YZF and YFB if this agreement turns out to be mutually beneficial. I would have thought AC could do well with seasonal summer service YZF-YYZ on the E90.
