What is your opinion about American Trans Air's new color scheme. Although it is a few years old, they are still finishing up some 727's and maybe 1 or 2 L-1011's, that are still wearing the old color scheme. I think the tropical look is cool and unique. What about the 25th
Anniversary color scheme?
Does anyone know if they (ATA) has painted an L-1011 in the 25th Anniversary colors, or if they even plan to?

I think that the ATA color scheme is very nice. It is such an improvment over their old colors. I always see the same L1011 at DTw in old colors and that looks really bad. I think that the new scheme fits ATA very well and I like it a lot. I have no opionion on the 25th anniversary scheme though. I doubt that ATA will paint an L1011 in 25th anniversary colors since their 25th anniversary is almost over.

ATA's new colors are quite nice, better than the old ones. I don't like the Pleasant Hawawaiian Holidays version on some of the L-1011's, though.
I saw an L-1011 in the old colors last May in HNL.

Frankly I like the old Blue and Gold color scheme, it needs some updating but it's not bad. The major problem I have with ATA is

I find ATA's colour scheme to be quite eye-catching. It's a nice change from the everyday airline liveries which are so common - UAL, NWA, AA, etc. Kudos to ATA for being adventuresome!
