china airlines and philippine airlines in particular.
i plan on flying those two airlines this summer and on their websites, one of their restrictions for the whole flight is use of cd players. anyone ever flown these two airlines(or others with the rule) and played a cd player and not be forced to turn it off by crew?
i plan on bringing another source for music along with the cd player, but i just want to hear others experience with this rule

During periods of high security, Air India does not allow any battery operated devices in the passenger cabin. This includes everything from laptop computers and CD players down to a humble flashlight.
So it is very possible that they will indeed enforce their policy as stated.
