Captain Steven F. Udvar-Hazy built IFLC with his friends through inspiration in the 70's. He will do it again! In fact he has an adavantage now, this is because of the vast experience and goodwill acquired over the years.

He is only 64 years old and still has a lot of time ahead. There is an old saying that "when the King's Place gets burnt, he rebuilds a bigger and more beautiful Castle.

The financial crisis which brought AIG to its keens help drag ILFC down. Though Capt Steven Udvar-Hazy had effectively managed ILFC, it just happened that after the economic melt down crisis he was not given enough time and support to restructure and restrategize new significant funding opportunities that would have resulted in liquidity that will eventually pull IFLC out of the deep hole created by the parent company AIG.

I happened to have met Capt Udvar-Hazy some months ago. I was astounded how a wealth guy like him took his time to listen and discuss freely in a humble manner with me. I could sense his insight into starting a new outfit. Apparently he already new what was about to happen at ILFC.

This guy is a Master Mind, and will attract other Master Minds that will build another successful giant organization to once again contribute to the World Aviation Industry.

You can never bring down a focused, dedicated and committed mind that truely loves what he does, this is a universal spiritual law. A new Star is about to be born.

What is the origin of "Captain" in his name, which you use 3 times? I have never seen that usage before. Does it have military origins? I don't believe he was ever a pilot.

He is a 7000 hrs jet pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with long range oceanic operations experience. With that kind of experience and consistent professional training to practical test standards, a pilot is an aircraft "Commander" any where in the world.
