Air France will be landing at Fort Lauderdale International Aitport (KFLL) at September 8 (this Friday) around 1:30 PM. The Concorde will arrive from New York to pick up 96 passangers who booked a 3-week around-world tour that cost $59,500 each!
It will depart from FLL the next day at around 1:45 PM.
This will first time that a Concorde has visited FLL in 14 years. Last time for a celebrating in 1985 for the completion of the airport's expansion project.
I will definitely be there with my camera gear. It should be a very cool to watch one in action, since the last time I saw one was in paris parked away from the gate. Hope to see people from the forum there.

Ok. Is there anyone here who knows the true story of what happened at FLL on Saturday? The Air France Speedbird was supposed to depart at 1:45 pm so I drive 3 and a 1/2 hrs to get there for 11:30 only to hear that it left at 10:05!
I wasn't the only one fooled either - a whole lot of spotters started showing up after 12:30 hoping to see the bird. I understand that the same thing happened the day before when it was supposed to land around 1:00 pm and didn't but instead arrived unannounced at 8:10 pm.
A lot of people were disappointed both days and we wonder why they misled us and the press both times?
Was it because of security? Crowd control? What? Does anyone have any ideas?
Is this standard procedure with Concorde charters? Next time I'm camping out at the airport all day and night...
