According to one of airline's latest press release, TAM recently received 02 additional A320 from Toulouse, seating 174 pax, bringing the total fleet number to 108 aircrafts, consisted of 15 A319, 73 A320, 03 A321, 12 A332, 02 A345 & 03 MD-11.
Since the first quarter of 08, with the withdrawal of the last remaining F100, TAM is operating an all airbus fleet in the domestic market and short-medium haul intl flights to South America.
The airline is planning to end 2008 with a total of 123 aircrafts, and estimates that by 2012 the numbers go up to 147 aircrafts.
With all that under consideration, here are some points I'd like to discuss:
Right now the fleet has 108 planes. By year's end 18* frames will be added (02 A332, 10 A320 family, 02 763-300ER & possibly 04 777-300ER).
* We have to consider that the MD-11s will be returned and replaced by 77W.
