the old Concourses A-D are now just called "Concourse D", or "North Terminal".

Is your question referring to the opening of the new CPB facility in D?

I am not sure if BA and IB are going to be right where Concourse A used to be since A is just going to be part of the new North Terminal Concourse D. The whole North Terminal will be One World and AS. I am not really sure when the old A area will reopen.

I had seeing the trains running back and forth through the roof of the North Terminal, I guess they are doing the final testing an calibrations before opening to the public. The entire street front of the North Terminal is already open except for the area adjacent to what is called the Central Terminal, just by Concourse E, that is going to take longer to open since they doing a major renovation job to that area, including structural modifications, to create a "more open" terminal feeling with more natural light and open spaces between the arrival and departure levels like was done at the new South Terminal

BA, LA and IB are OneWorld airlines , so I would think they will move back to the North Terminal when the new CBP facility is operational. THat will facilitate the flow and connections between all the ONEWORLD member airlines.

Can someone contact Mark, and see if he knows when the new CBP facility opens. He knows more about MIA than anybody on this site.

From what I understand, the trains aren't being operated for testing and calibration; rather, the trains and tracks need to be used periodically to stay in good working order. If memory serves, MIA had to pay the train manufacturer to run the already-manufactured trains regularly on a test track for an extended period due to the delays in the North Terminal project.

Correct. The trains have been running along the top of the North Terminal for over a year now.

AA will generally be in the area west of Concourse A. What was once Concourse A (in particular, the heavy gates at the east end) will be occupied by AA's oneworld partners.
