Do we really need this topic every 2nd week?
My favourites are Air Canada, very professional, and its nice to see the maple leaf whenever you're flying abroad. United, I really like dark colors. And TWA's new color scheme.

This topic has really been overdone, but here's mine:
1. Swissair (simple, professional, but still retains it's red Swiss flag, very traditional)
2. USAirways (professional, personally I think darker colours just look better)
3. British Airways (yes I actually like the new "Union Flag although my favourite was "Scotland")
4. Austrian Airlines (much the same to ex-partner Swissair, retains Austrian flag, used since the airlines beginning in 1957, not austentatious, not extremely colourful, but tasteful)
5. AA (despite being like 30 years old, I still think it's very classy, although they do have a tendency to get dirty, I keep hoping to see the 'Retrojet')
These are among my favourites.

I haven't posted by diatribe about this in a while, so here goes...
I like paint schemes that make use of the polished metal look, including American, Hawaiian, and USAir (not USAirways - theirs isn't bad, but it's obviously not what I'm talking about.)
Of these, American is my favorite. The simple look with only the three stripes create immediate recognition of America, as the red, white, and blue stripes are a symbol closely associated with the country. That makes them a great fit for American, so the livery really ties in with the name. Second, and most importantly, American - like Hawaiian - allows the inherent beauty of the aircraft to shine through. The recognize that it is the aircraft itself that is attractive, and that to hide the aircraft under all that paint is a shame. I love to look at the American planes and see all of the seams and rivets - they show up so much better on polished aluminum than through paint.

I really like the AS (Alaska) color scheme. Frankly, I'm not real wild about the eskimo on the tail, but I think the fuselage looks great. Midwest Express has a very pleasant scheme also, and US Airways planes look great in the navy blue.
