My name is Andrea Kamarov. I'm new, so have mercy on my soul.

I'm 17 years-old, and an avid-fan of aviation. Military aviation is also one of my favorite topics. Especially high-performance aircraft.

My favorite military aircraft is the A-12/SR-71, hence my nickname of Blackbird.

My favorite commercial aircraft is the Concorde because of it's Supercruise capability and performance. Even most military aircraft can't sustain Mach 2.02 in a cruise.

That's basically it, I'll start posting

On behalf of myself and everyone else on this forum --

Welcome aboard, skipper!

My name is Neil Harrison. I'm currently attending Purdue University, with Aviation Administration as a major. I'm hoping to transfer to Flight.

I want to become an airline pilot for UAL or UPS. But, I'll take whatever comes my way. Thus, I'm no expert in Military Aviation. But, if it's civilian and it has wings, chances are I'll know it tip to tail.

Also, you've come to right place to get answers to your questions. I must say, this is the ONLY forum that I visited on the triple w, that I can get answers to my questions and I know where they're coming from.

We're sort of like a community here. You'll see that quite a few people look up to JETPILOT. If you're here for an extended period of time, you'll slowly learn things about the others on here.

I guess, I'll see you in the forum. Again, welcome!

- Neil Harrison

Welcome Andrea.

You will love it here, great place, and great people - very friendly -

I don't know much about the technical side of aircraft, what I know I have learnt here.

I love to read people's experiences about their travels. If you have any I would love to hear them.

I'll be keeping an eye out for your posts.

Bye.
B-707

I know the problem. I used to have two of them but they fell off during the last cold spell.

Hello Andrea!
FINALLY A GIRL HERE!!!   (besides me, of course)
Welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy your stay here (gee, sounds like you´re in a hotel   ).
The people here are very friendly and if you have any questions, don´t hesitate to ask. Even if they are dumb, like the questions I ask

My name is Julie, I was born in Argentina,I´m 17 years-old, now living in Porto Alegre, south of Brazil. I´m a high-school senior trying to get into the Advertising school on the University. No, I don´t send letters to universities, I need to make exams...
I don´t want to be a pilot, I prefer just to spot. It´s more safe   My favorite aircrafts are B707, 727, 747, 757, 767, 777, Connie and L-1011 TriStar

I think this is the best aviation forum out there, you will learn a lot from everyone here.. like I did

Once again, welcome! From one girl to another girl

Hehe. I guess the Forum doesn't allow postings in foreign languages.

Welcome, Andrea! (Or is it Andrei?) On behalf of everyone here, I hope you'll enjoy the Forum and find much interesting information here, as well as contribute. One of my primary interests is Russian commercial aviation, hence my handle. I lived in St. Petersburg for four and one-half years and had many opportunities to travel on Aeroflot planes, as well as observe them. I am assuming you are Russian.

Once again, welcome, and we look forward to hearing from you on here!

IL96M

P.S. Airchick...Andrea is a guy.

No, I understood the Russian, albeit it took me a bit longer to read than the standard English.

My name is Andrea, as my profile reads, I'm not a guy, I hope it won't lower your opinion of me (sarcasm).

Look what Ilyushin96M wrote:

"P.S. Airchick...Andrea is a guy."
Maybe the one who needs to pay a little more attention is him....

I think we´re both confused. Andrea is also a men´s name and I have a guy friend called Andrea.

When I first read your message I read your info and I saw you´re a girl, but Ilyushin96M told you´re a guy... and there´s where the confusion starts...

weird stuff.... this happens... just a gender mistake!

Hehehe...I apologise. The name looked so Russian, I figured it was. Russians sign only their last names quite often in correspondence, which Andrea did.

ANYWAY...welcome, Andrea.

It's no big deal. I am part Russian. As I said, I'm of course of other ethnic backgrounds as well. I do understand Russian, but I'd prefer posts in English.

Additionally, I usually type relatively fast, usually a message of this size takes only about 15 seconds! It saves time.

Good to solve the confusion,
Andrea Kamarov

Welcome Blackbird...(I know you have heard this already from others, but I haven't been to this site since Tuesday!) My name is Jason and I have a huge interest in not only airliners, but also Business/private aviation (hence my username). One of my other interests is to learn Russian....any ideas where to start?   Anyway, welcome to THE GREATEST AVIATION SITE on the web! Auf Wiedersehn!

Well, if you wanted to learn Russian, there are several schools that teach it. You could also look in Barnes and Noble, which has a great deal of foreign-language books.
