Hi gang,
I see where this week Delta has been running a DC-9-50 on it's Detroit to Richmond last plane in. It turns around and goes out as Delta 2174 the next morning.
Looking into the future for the rest of the summer it appears variable as to whether it is a DC-9 or CRJ/E-145. I think this is a recent change because I watch this route like a hawk and until i saw it on flightaware didn't realize this was going on.
Can someone shed anylight on this? It's been 4-5 years since mainline aircraft have been on the Detroit run. 4-5 years back it used to be 5 DC-9's a day, it was cut to 3 CRJ's a while back, and now the "regular" schedule is 5 regionals a day.

DL is increasing capacity on the route. The DC-9 is gone for the next few weeks but back again in mid-July, this time on the first departure from DTW.
