Hi all,

So far we have 5 airlines already flying the giant, EK, SQ, QF, AF, LH. According to Airbus there are several airlines due to take deliver of the A380 within the next 2 years. Anyone knows which is the next new carrier to introduce it in 2010/2011 period and when?
Hope to see more of them, expecially I am hungry for what A380 will look like on Qatar airways dress....

Cheers

KE next then i think it's CZ and probably MH as both have parts in build but not yet sent to TLS for assembly into something that looks like a plane yet.

Given the long lead on these planes and the number of other airlines looking to get birds in 2011, 2012 I'm wondering when we'll start seeing parts for BA, QR and EY appearing in part build too

Maybe the new UA will consider a few A380s for those prime high density routes like EWR-TLV, ORD-LHR, LAX-SYD, etc.

Yes, but that is at least nine month away. Before that we will see about 20 deliveries to customers already operating the big boy.

KE will have the most beautiful livery of current operators when they start flying the A380

I find this light blue looking cheap, just the underwear of a baby boy, but that's taste. SQ looks much more classic. So we will habe 20 deliveries in the next 9 months? That will almost double the world fleet.

The Koreans would beg to differ. I guess beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

Nice to see #3 for KE (MSN 059) has been ferried to the FAL

It is a nice colour, although I like those of KL and VN better.

I said at least nine month, because KE's first is due in Q2 of 2011. There are about 20 others before it in the production schedule.

Airbus had 7 deliveries in the first half of 2010 and the 8th was delivered on July 2nd. Compare that to the 10 in 2009.

Current world fleet is 31, btw.
