That is why. According to Sioux Falls Media they had to fly in a replacement plane (it was a 757) and UA flew Mechanics in from Chicago to investigate what happened to the plane (all mentioned in the article).

I don't think that story is for the latest incident. The article is dated April 14, 2010. Coincidentially it is the same airline, same type of aircraft and same airport, just 3 months earlier.
