Didn't see this posted anywhere or find any photos in the database, but check out this special paint scheme Korean Air is doing for the upcoming release of the PC real-time strategy game StarCraft II. As both an avid gamer and aviation fan, it doesn't get much better than this!

I am by no means an avid computer game player, but I grew up playing StarCraft ever since it first came out. And having actually gotten a chance to play the beta version of StarCraft II, I'll just say that I simply cannot imagine the sequel possibly being better than it is -- to me, it is simply as perfect and totally engaging as any computer game I have ever played.

What a cool move by KE, kudos to them for tastefully creating a color scheme celebrating what I anticipate will be one of the most popular games of all time.

Yes, it's widely recognized that July 27 (the release date) is when the South Korean economy will collapse. I was amazed at how many tv channels were dedicated to showing people playing the game back when I was staying in Gwacheon.

Has Korean Air ever done any other special livery/billboard aircraft?

So that was what was on that KE plane at ORD the other day. I didn't get a good look at it as it was taking off away from me, but did notice there was some kind of special paint on it.
