I work for UA at PDX. We ground handle the YYZ AC flight. I work this flight every night. This new route started a month ago. It has maybe arrived in PDX on-time two days in that month. I don't know what's AC's problem with getting this flight into PDX. It shows it leaves the YYZ gate pretty much around schedule departure time. Does AC have some mega bank around 5:30pm?

I thought our rampers in ORD were bad. The AC guys in YYZ are just as bad. They mix the Tranfer bags, Priority bags with the city. They show no TB bags, then we get three of them. It's a pain if we get TB's on this trip. We have to call up TSA, and they have to run the bags through the CTX machine before we can transfer them to our UAX flights.

It looks like this flight is doing well for them though. We are getting plenty of skiers and bikers coming to Oregon for the summer, Mt Hood is the only place to ski in North America in the summer. We still have plenty of snow on the mountain this year.

Don't know why their late, though AC can be notorious with their handling of Priority bags. BTW, Mt Hood isn't the only place in NA for summer skiing, you can ski in Whistler as well.

Can't answer your question, but i think this is one of the most important new routes in PDX since the Europe flights, and I really hope it does well!

That's a busy time at almost all major airports. A quick check of their timetable shows 36 AC departures from YYZ between 1700 and 1800.
