YAK At LHR?

For the past few days over on the vip apron what i can make out is a Yak 42.
It is beautifully coloured yellow and red and looks as modern as the Airbus's and Boeing's that
have flanked it over its time here.
Who does this belong to and has a YAK ever visited the Row before?

I saw it as well. It's an Armavia Yak.

PlaneHunter and myself witnessed the machine yesterday as part of the AF A380 flights, we were together on the way from CDG to LHR. At first I thought it's a BAC1-11, it seems to be a Yak according to him, and we both saw it's colorful and wears Armenia titles. No details on the reason for its presence though.

Yeah I saw it too on AF A380 CDG - LHR yesterday. It was a Yak42 in Armavia colourscheme as for titles I didnt have a window seat so I coudnt see. It has been there since Friday at least tho as I saw it then in the same place too.

P.S. I was in 21D and got bored during the 2 hour delay.

Haha, I was on AF1980 as well...I thought we'd never be able to take off. Did you see the bird crashing on the tail-mounted camera ? Funny experience...

Was it a bird? We were wondering about a fully loaded mosquito at that altitude

I suggested to PlaneHunter we start a thread about the cleanliness of that particular spot on that particular bird... - Oh! My mistake - ...aircraft and see when it actually gets removed. All members flying on Air France's Alpha A380 are requested to report the status over time!

What do you think?
