Very nice indeed; I guess the only problem with a video like this is that people flying other types will be expecting this kind of inflight entertainment and connectivity - and be disappointed. I take it that, for now, only the 77W has PTVs in Economy.
Still, it's great to see MS heading in the right direction.
Presumably the 777-200s will not be retrofitted with the new IFE as they are to be retired; same with the 342s, but hopefully the 332s will be retrofitted?

It is always nice to see carriers that once were known for their bad/mediocre quality take the right direction... I was very happy when AI got the 77L. I am not familiar with the Egypt Air fleet, so I'd lie if I answered your question, let's wait for someone else to clear that point, since I'm curious as well. I'd pressume the 332 will be retrofitted.

Quoting KLAM (Reply 4): What were the A340 and 777 destinations?
A342 were serving Tokyo , Osaka , Montreal (summer only route and is D/C now ) and occasionally to the Gulf cities .
B772 were mainly serving Bangkok , Beijing , Guangzhou , New york and occasionally the Arabian Gulf cities .

I was thinking the exact same as well, even thinking of the AI example.
Thankfully EgyptAir is taking the right steps:
- 2 B777-300ERs have arrived, 4 still to some
- 5 A330-300s on order
*Both of these aircraft have PTVs (AVOD) in all classes, lie-flat seats in business, mood lighting etc. Plus, A330-300s to have OnAir mobile technology, and Wi-Fi.
- Notorious B777-200s and A340s to be retired
- A330-200s to be retrofitted.
If you think about it, EgyptAir's entire long-haul fleet will be top-notch after these changes are made.

EgyptAir is seeing some of its best days ever.
Here here! I can't wait to get on them again!
Woohoo! Back to Beirut in Oct '13! (Along with a stop in DOH for 4 days)

I love these promotional videos where everyone is smiling and happy to be there...so funny
But I tell you what...even though I dont generally buy into these things, that cabin looks SO inviting and refreshing!

Watching that video, I've always wondered, when travelling in Business do the f/a's really just throw a blanket over you and tuck you in? It's always made me laugh the way airlines put this in their promotional material - I just can't imagine it actually ocurring. Somebody feel free to put me right though!

I recently read a TR (It was by PlaneHunter I think)) & it seems like they still do! I think it was a Far East airline though.

Too much gap between logo and MS title on 738 fleet, it looks best on A333. Whats with the tacky Express font? its application on the tail was so not needed.
