Will Bombardier earn any orders for its commercial aircraft division at Farnborough this year? While I am still optimistic that the CSeries may be able to pull in an order, do we have any deals likely to be signed for the Q400 or CRJ family?
While Bombardier may play down the relevance of having no orders placed, it would seem to be a bad omen when your competitors are receiving major orders for their regional planes.

That was exactly my tough. ATR and Embraer are selling fine but BBD have not sold anything yet.
On a side note there are no orders for the MRJ neither. So long for the PW GTF!

Now that flyBE is going for the E175 and E195, perhaps other carriers will look at the CRJ1000 as an alternative for LCC routes... established carriers can use them where their larger aircraft are too big.

Quoting planemaker (Reply 3): Qatar Airways has ‘issues’ with Pratt & Whitney gear on Bombardier jet
Is Qatar perhaps worried that the GTF will not have good enough "hot" performance? I assume most of the CSeries flights will be performed during the day and evening in the Gulf region where the temp can be 50 dgs Centigrade in the shade
