This Sunday marks the first flight of Korean's 1 month service to YYC from ICN.

The flights will be 3x weekly running from July 25-Aug 26:

KE2075 ICN-YYC 1820-1400 Tu Th Su
KE2076 YYC-ICN 1600-1830+1 Tu Th Su

The flights will be operated by a 777-200. It will be very nice to see a 777 back in YYC, after BA downgraded the LHR to the 763.

The biggest difference between these flights and previous flights over the last few years is that Canadian's can book on these flights, they are not charters like the flights before. In the years before we have seen both KE and JL operate these types of charter flights in the summer here.

If this limited run does well can YYC see the possibility of KE making a go of this flight longer than 1 month in the future?

Is a month a long enough time to get a read on viability?

12A whenever possible.

I would think not, at least they will be able to see how many tickets are being purchased by Canadian travellers this time. I guess some info is better than none at all in this regard.

That will bring some nice change to YYC's spotting scene.

Perhaps this is just a pre-cursor of things to come. You know that the service is quite a upgrade from the charters because traffic goes both ways...rather than one.

If YYC and the surrounding community supports YYC-ICN service...they may extend it to several months or year-round.

As a side note...I wonder if KE is still interested in ICN-SEA-MEX service.
