It appears that a volunteer crew has crashed into Lake Michigan. One person was rescued hopefully they find others.

The plane left Alma(AMN) this morning on a flight to the Mayo at RST.
I knew them all by first name. The pilot Jerry F. was rescued and in a hospital in Ludington, MI in good condition.

Jerry would fly people to the MAYO for medical treatment if they could not afford commercial, could not drive or knew them personnally. The latter was the case here.
When published in the local paper tomorrow this is going to hit like a bomb. The pax going to the MAYO was a very prominent person in our area.
I know who but cannot say until the names are released. There was also a local DR. on board everyone in the county knew or knew of.
safe

Sounds like Jerry is a stand up person. I will pray for his speeedy recovery.

My thoughts and prayers are with those families. I recently lost a loved one and it was very difficult on my wife I do know those families are going through.

The latest as of a few minutes ago, they found Dr. Halls medical bag in the lake. In it was a goodbye note he wrote as the plane was heading for the water. The note has been published in the local paper www.themorningsun.com and should be in other Michigan tabloids soon.
This is a sad situation for many in my home town.

It seems to me that they put their fate in the lords hands and he granted them eternal peace. RIP to all those killed and bring peace the families affected.
