Will AF send A380s to LAX?
If yes, from when?
Regards

Maybe one day, but not in the immediate future.

T-2 is already authorized to get an A380 compatible gate once there is a firm commitment by tenant to use it.

Next planned A380 operator at LAX is Korean Air.

AF will receive its 4th A380 next Thursday Aug. 5th.

NRT will be the next destination for the AF A380 after JFK and NRT (I don't count LHR).
The 5th aircraft imitially planned for March 2011 could also be delivered "in advance" in Nov or Dec this year.

AF's CEO recently declared that the next destination to be served with the A380 will be decided among PEK, SIN, LAX, MEX, IAD.

Well if Air France really plans LAX, they need to get going an notify the airport with about 1-years notice, so the terminal upgrades can take place to accommodate the A380.

But personally, I believe AF are instead happy with offering frequency at LAX using 777s which helps drive a wide variety of connections for AF via CDG.
Anyhow its not LAX is capacity or slot limited so reducing current schedule in favor of consolidated A380 flight seems to be a major downgrade to me network marketing wise.
