Since I am a loyal SkyTeam flyer that is based out of DUS mainly, I was wondering if there is a timeline for an AZ return to DUS. It is a real pain to get to most secondary Italian airports currently. The only real option is taking the train down to FRA.
Same goes for my colleague who is based out of ZRH.

I see DUS and ZRH as major European destinations, and AZ would do well to return to both.
I know AZ in the end decided to give up its dual-hub structure and keep FCO as its main hub and simply treat MXP as a focus city with limited international service, but I think MXP has more potential for O&D traffic to/from DUS and ZRH than FCO. What do you think?
Next flights: MEX-JFK-FCO AM 788/AZ 77E | DBV-BEG-BUD JU AT7/733 | BUD-AMS 738 | AMS-MEX 74M

Well, I do believe that they should at least fly to FCO, since there should be enough demand for service to places around Italy, but I guess that AB is in a very strong and competitive position to numerous destinations in southern Italy and Sicily.
Too bad for me, currently.
