British Airways Comair is starting a 5 weekly Johannesburg-Dar Es Salam in Tanziana in November.
It is the first time Comair will operate this route. Other routes which were planned was a Johannesburg-Walvis Bay, Nambia and an increase of Johannesburg-Windhoek to 10 weekly.

I think Comair should soon order a replacement for it ageing 737 fleet. An order of A32X and some E-Jets would help Comair expand in South Africa on smaller routes like Johannesburg to George, East London and Bleomfontein. On International routes, Comair could launch flights to Gaborone, Maputo, Nairobi and Luanda.

Next flights : BRU-ZRH-CAI (LX)/ BRU-FCO-TLV (AZ)

I would love to see more aggressive growth from Comair to help bolster BA's and oneworld's presence on the continent.

Congrats to BA. I hope this route is a huge success for them.

Well BA Comair has been quite passive while Kulula has grown considerably. Even the new aircraft orders are going to Kulula and not to BA Comair.

I hope BA can restart have franchisees like it used be. BA had a marvellous network of small franchises in the 2000s: GB airways, Comair, Regional Airlines, Base, National Jet Italy, Loganair, Air Manx,...

Comair have started their fleet replacement. They have decided to go the 737NG route. They are sourcing some via lease, and according to their annual report, some new from Boeing. Initially they will go to the Kulula franchise, with the BA franchise being last.

They have been adding new routes steadily one at a time. On 4 May they started a 6 weekly JNB-MPQ (Nelspruit Kruger (Mpulenga) Airport) and have now announced the JNB-DAR flights. Last year they added their JNB-MRU service. I think that if they expanded more quickly they might over stretch themselves.
