TAIWAN PRESS: Air Rights Talks With Hong Kong Postponed TAIPEI (Dow Jones)--The air pact between Taiwan and Hong Kong is expected to be postponed until the end of the year, Economic Daily reports.
The talks, which usually involve negotiations between the two governments, are being held up because this is the first time Taiwan will be talking with Hong Kong since the latter reverted to Chinese rule.
Meanwhile, Taiwan's China Airlines (Q.CAI) and EVA Airways Corp. (Q.EAW) and Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airways (H.CPA) and Dragon Airlines are expected to sign an agreement Thursday that would extend the current air pact that expires on June 12 to Dec. 31.
