Correct me if I'm wrong but with the exception of Basra and maybe Isfahan all the rest are resumptions, CMB is ofcourse most obviously.

Wow Gulf Air are really repositioning themselves as a regional carrier aren't they? Given the competition (and deep pockets) with the likes of Emirates, Qatar and Etihad, I suppose it makes sounds business sense for GF to fill this niche. Just sad to see the Golden Falcon in such a sorry state in comparison to what it was in the 70s and 80s. GF really was the original EK (or QR/EY for that matter).

Keep Discovering

Updates are as follows for W10:

KHI - capacity increased from daily A 320 to daily A 321.

KTM - frequencies increased from 9 to 11 weekly A 320s.

KUL - frequencies increased from 5 to daily nonstop flights using a mixture of A 332s and A 343s.

All of this is mentioned on major GDS systems!

Gulf Air is a great airline. I loved flying them when I lived in Bahrain. I wish them the best of luck with this latest expansion!

Flying in the middle seat of coach is much better than not flying at all!

If they go purely regional, where will the amount of capacity go. Connections will be lower, and with Bahrain being a smaller O&D market in itself, it will be hard to fill those seats.

Is it the plan to keep LHR?

How is the routing going to be for ADD, if it is a stand alone flight, I only wounder how long it's going to last!

why would u say that? There are over 25,000 O&D pax on BAH-ADD-BAH alone and from the GCC region in 2009, 400,000 pax flew to ADD and back.

Plus in ADD there is only EK/ET to compete against as QR/EY/WY/KU dont operate there.

Might need to revise thread title as ADD is Addis Ababa, whereas Aden is ADE.

It is what it is.
