According to a good contact a Air Tran 717 will visit Hong Kong on October 15th. The aircarft is in full Air Tran colours but flying for Boeing.

I just hope they land on 25R and that it's not cancelled or re-routed.

Anyhow i'll be there waiting for it.

Hi

Yes, I heard that too. The aircraft is doing an Asian tour.

Hope you get to see it.

I just saw that aircraft in Anchorage last night. It was parked at the south airpark accross from where I work. I couldn't figure out why Boeing would send it through Anchorage in the fall but a sales tour of Asia could be why.

Sorry it was nightime so I wasn't able to get any photos

Hi

Has this aircraft got the standard Boeing livery but with Air Tran titles?

Gary,

No. It's already been painted in full Airtran colours. You can tell that it's the new 717 by the RR/BMW logos on the engines

Hello-

Why is it going to Hong Kong in AirTran colors? That seems kinda strange. Have they already painted over the Boeing colors? Okay. So they're going on a tour. So are they looking for customers or what? The 717 is very cool (well I guess its just like the MD90, MD80, and DC9s, but...) and I can't wait to see it flurish like the DC9.
